Many thanks, Anne, for sharing the news.
You're correct as re: the street date -- it's Tuesday, April 6th. And the disc program itself is more-or-less a sequel to Savoy's JUDY TAKES BROADWAY! (2008), including twenty-three songs under the title, JUDY/ON BROADWAY TONIGHT!/WITH FRIENDS:
1. Give My Regards to Broadway
*2. Comes Once In a Lifetime
*3. Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home
*4. Whispering -- with The Kirby Stone Four
5. Together Wherever We Go -- with Liza Minnelli
*6. I Gotta Right To Sing the Blues
7. "Duets" Medley -- with Ethel Merman:
a) Friendship
b) Let's Be Buddies
c) You're the Top
d) You're Just In Love
e) It's De-Lovely
f) Together Wherever We Go
*8. If Love Were All
9. West Side Story Medley -- with Vic Damone:
a) Maria
b) Something's Coming
c) Somewhere
d) Tonight
*10. Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries
11. "Judy at the Palace" Medley:

----------------------
Two of these are "repeats" from earlier Savoy releases, but the rationale behind their inclusion is easily explained -- and/or hopefully comprehendable. "Give My Regards to Broadway" was later pulled from Judy's World War I medley by Judy herself and used as a separate concert selection in several shows and on TV in 1966-1968. Isolating it for this program makes it accessible as the same kind of solo piece and entity unto itself -- and it was viewed as an ideal, thematic opening song. "Judy at The Palace" is here revived as a homage to Liza's adaptation of the material in her recent stage, recording, and DVD presentations. (Additionally, these two foregoing selections comprise "public domain" material and were incorporated to augment the limited-to-sixteen copyrighted songs that have to be licensed for use in such a project. This expands the running time and -- hopefully -- "listenability" of the disc.)
The booklet and packaging for JUDY/ON BROADWAY TONIGHT! have been designed by Ranse Ransone, who has overseen all the artwork for the past Savoy issues. As in the past (and with the cooperation of several generous collectors), he's assembled both unfamiliar and familiar art, appropriate to the release.
This is the eighth Savoy cd in just five years, which is proof positive of the regard they have for Judy -- and their joy at having her in their catalog.
Anyway, thanks again very much for the plug...and I hope you enjoy.
