Is she Joan Bennett?
Now we don't mean Greta.
And we don't mean Bette.
Or Loretta.
Or the Song of Bernadetta.

Is she Lucille Ball?

Anne, you are correct!

Since you don't post photos, if you want, you can PM me regarding which actress you'd like to go next, and I can assist with locating and posting the photo. If you don't want to go that route, then perhaps Trader could post the next actress.

Yes Anne, Image you are right.
You may post the next mystery photo if you wish.

What???????? I thought Joan had brown eyes, anyway, she looked completely different when she was younger!
For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.

Exactly, that was my sneaky scheme to post early photos that did not look very much like the tradition Joan Crawford image.

I sent PT some suggestions and we'll let some others take a crack at it.

Why that beautiful photo was presumably taken a few decades before a family in St. Louis, on a movie stage, made the best ketchup we ever made Katie. Also where the father of the house, where we cut the corned beef we don't shave it and cabbage has a cabbage smell, either lost some soup or found a spoon.
: )

Ok, after the hotel Mary Astoria was noted, now me, right? Who's her, who's her?

You are right, Eega. She's Mary Astor, the mother in MMISL and Listen Darling, and the dark, sinister gal in Maltese Falcon. Your turn.

Anne, you chose your photo at her very best, M. Astor is so surprisingly beautiful here, I recognized her simply because I saw MMISL about 10 million times so far. What a transformation.. from a young, dark, intriguing, vulnerable but strong, subtle beauty to a plain domestic mom the plumber.

I had to take my pic at her not very best, otherwise it would be too easy.
